PROBAT’s product range covers drum, tangential and centrifugal roasters. These can be used to create all kinds of roasts for the most specialised applications and all product segments.
Drum roasting is the most common roasting method. Here, the coffee is roasted in a drum that rotates around a horizontal axis. Designed for large-batch specialty coffee roasting, the PROBAT G Series drum roasters will provide you with a high level of efficiency and flexibility for decades to come. Continuous monitoring tools and user-friendly controls ensure precise, consistent results in every batch.
The R Series commercial coffee roasters are designed for high-volume roasting across the entire color-development spectrum. Flexible enough to fit any profile, this type of roaster enables repeatable and consistent roasts, batch after batch. Each roaster is available in both recirculating and non-recirculating models.
The P 60 roaster uses specially developed shovel mechanisms to move the beans inside the drum. A surface burner heats up the roasting air before it is sucked through the back wall of the drum as well as guided around it, thus roasting the beans not only via convective but also conductive heat transfer. With a roasting capacity of up to 215 kilograms per hour (kg/h), the P 60 is particularly suitable for larger shop roasters and smaller industrial roasting facilities with a large variety of products and high quality demands on the end product.
With an extended batch size range between 60 and 120 kg and roasting times between 6 and 20 minutes, the Px 120 drum roaster guarantees more flexibility while maintaining a constantly high coffee quality. With a maximum output of 480 kg / h, the Px 120 drum roaster is perfect for mid-size capacity requirements. Furthermore, it stands out thanks to its sophisticated technology and technical features, wrapped in a classic design.
The NEPTUNE drum roaster from PROBAT is available with nominal outputs of 480, 1,500 and 3,000 kilograms per hour (kg/h). It offers roast masters a wide variety of options for influencing the roast profile. These include controlling the temperature, roast duration and drum speed. The NEPTUNE drum roaster is perfect for roasting espresso and speciality coffee beans, as the various setting options allow the best individual aroma to develop.
The JUPITER tangential roaster features a stationary roasting drum. A shovel mechanism rotates around a horizontal axis inside the drum to mix the coffee beans. This perfectly coordinated mix of controlled roasting air and mechanical motion improves the transmission of thermal energy deep inside the bean. This results in highly consistent colour and moisture. The JUPITER’s incredible flexibility in terms of operating parameters makes it a unique all-rounder that can roast all coffee sorts and blends to the required roast profile. It offers a highly flexible capacity of 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 and 5,000 kg/h.
The SATURN centrifugal roaster rotates around a vertical axis to roast the beans. The specially designed roaster bowl and lamella ring ensure extremely uniform and gentle mixing of the roasted product. Alongside this, there are a number of ways to influence the aroma, density and extraction level of the roasted coffee. Thermal equilibrium is also achieved quickly. The SATURN is therefore the perfect roaster for both mass-produced coffee and those products where quality really counts. Available with capacities of 250, 2,500 and 4,000 kg/h.
